Herman finds a sister. . .

My apologies it has been a while since my last post!

I thought I would introduce you all to Aphrodite - the first of Herman's skully siblings. I have added a picture of her below as you can see.  Aphrodite is a rose quartz skull and is a healer. She came from China from a master carver who does a fab job! Herman and Aphrodite came from the same person and I think they were destined to live together. . .so after I found Herman (and I'm sure the skull enthusiasts amongst you will understand this!) I became obsessed with skulls and started to look for more to come home with me.

The only channel I could think of was to message the shop in St Andrews where I had first been on the hunt for Herman.  I emailed the lovely lady who works there as she was so helpful on my first hunt.  She emailed me some lovely pictures and straight away I knew Aphrodite was the one that had to come home with me.  I asked Herman what he thought and he said in a kind of nonchalant way "Oh yeah Aphrodite did say she'd see me again" I was creased with his response and so I ordered her straight away.  When she arrived, I was very surprised at how big she was in comparison to Herman but instantly I connected with her because of her healing ability which I happen to share.

That evening, I meditated with her and she allowed me in to share her insights and get to know her.  Aphrodite does not speak as Herman does, she just puts suggestions and ideas to me through visual and thought methods. She is a very powerful meditation tool.

Herman and his sister do get on and gel really well together but if I try to use them both at one time for a reading or healing, then the disagreements start -they each have their own thoughts and methods on how to do things!

Herman lights up. . .

Hello again :)

Well as you can see from the title, this post will explain a little bit about the magic within Herman. Some of you may be aware that opalite (which Herman is made from!) is a strange mix of colours, it ranges from opaque white to blue to green to red.

I am about to add a few picture of Herman all taken using a camera with no flash. The first one, you will notice the bright red light coming from the left hand side of Herman's face and as you can see in the second picture, there was a lot of natural sunlight around but you can see that the water from the fountain in which I was cleansing Herman has turned red from the light and energy he was outputting!

The first time that I discovered this was when I got Herman home from St. Andrews the day I bought him.  He was sitting on the kitchen work top and I was making a cuppa when all of a sudden the red light caught the side of my eye.  I picked him up and realised that the reason he glows red is because he has something to say!!

I sat down with Herman in one hand and my cup of tea in the other and he said to me "Please find my brother but don't laugh at him, it's not his fault" - a strange outburst coming from a crystal skull in my opinion!! Anyway, these little fellows demand to be listened to and listened to he was.  I set out to find another crystal skull. I had in my head the image of another opalite skull but really had no idea where to begin to look for one.  As it turns out, my mum at the time had fallen for Herman's charms already was sitting at the computer looking for a crystal skull! As I came through to tell her of Herman's declaration regarding his brother, she said to me "I've ordered an Opalite skull too!!". Little did I realise that this was in fact Herman's brother. . .when he arrived we all burst out laughing at the little fellow who had a flat face and had to have a crystal ring under him to keep him stood upright!!

Herman's only words to me upon his arrival were "I did tell you not to laugh at him!"

Gradually I learned that around different people, Herman would change colour according to what they needed.  This has allowed me to use Herman as a powerful tool in my crystal healing sessions and has proved invaluable.  Some examples of these colour changes include: a blue light from within which indicates an issue regarding communication or green which indicates that the person has some self-confidence issues and need a bit of an extra push to open up properly. Yellow shows a bottle up of guilt and grief.

Herman reacts differently to different people - some he will really connect with whereas others he will only acknowledge.  Sometimes he gets totally over excited and throws big balls of energy right at people's stomach when they need some healing - this can cause some people a little bit of a shock at times but it does work to their advantage in the long run!

The Legends and Meanings behind the Crystal Skulls

Hello again!

So I realised after I posted my last blog post that this may all seem a little bit (or a lot) like random to people who have never had experience of crystal skulls before so this post is going to scratch the surface of exactly what the legend of the crystal skulls are. Further posts will explore what they do, where they came from and why we use them.

Firstly I'll deal with a few of the legends behind them. . .

Crystal skulls which have been found have been reported to date back to Aztec civilizations, however a lot of skepticism  follows this belief due to the nature of their marking/carvings etc.  Crystal skulls were first found near Aztec and Mayan ruins which lead to these legends coming about.  The skulls vary in dating from 5000 years ago in some cases to 35000 years ago in others! The indigenous people claim that they have amazingly powerful healing and magic properties.

The problem with the crystal skulls is that nobody knows exactly when they came about. Some claim that they are all that is left from the Golden Age of Atlantis.

Aztec art and sculptures which have been excavated heavily feature these skulls which allows the links to Aztec times to be formed much more strongly than with the Mayans as the Mayan art which has been found has shown no signs of the skulls at all.

The problem in deciphering whether or not a skull is of ancient origin or whether it has been carved in recent times is a mystery which unfortunately, will be very hard to solve. This is because it is impossible to carbon date crystals.

So what are these legends?

Well, the main legend is the legend of the 13 skulls which does vary depending on the origins of the legends however the 13 skulls is common amongst the majority of the legends.



This legend states that there are 13 skulls, 12 which come one from each of the ancient sacred planets are circled around the 13th which represents the overall consciousness of the other 12 combined. The problem being that we have no idea which are the genuine original 13 skulls! When reunited, legends state that the 13 skulls will awaken a new era of awareness amongst us. This will reportedly turn us into a new world.

Some people argue that the 13 skulls will prevent the so called "end of the world" if they are reunited (I add this with a lot of skepticism as I do not believe the end of the world 2012 story) <3

Hello from Herman. . .

Herman is a beautiful, talented Opalite crystal skull.

I found Herman last year on a trip to St Andrews, Scotland and ever since we have become inseparable.  Herman called to me the moment I woke up that morning and I knew straight away that I needed to find a crystal skull - something I had never even considered until this point.  I fired up the computer and had a look around to see where the nearest crystal skull seller would be and came up with St Andrews which was about 52 miles from where I stayed at the time.

After some pleading and convincing with my mum, we took to the road to find the shop I had found online. Eventually we got there to find that the shop had no crystal skulls in stock that day at all! I was devastated! The lady suggested that we should try the shop at "The Secret Bunker" which was an old bunker to hide important people during air raids.  It was relatively near by and so we set off to find it.

15 minutes later (and some travel sickness I may add!) we arrived at the shop.  The minute we were in the carpark, I could feel that the skull for me was just beyond the shop doors! I was like a kid in a sweetie shop! The energies within the shop itself were very interesting - a ying yang kind of feel.  On one side of the shop, there stood replica guns and war memorabilia and on the other was one of the biggest crystal skulls in Britain at the moment as well as a crystal display and a stand full of crystal skulls!!!

Straight away, I knew that the small opalite skull was for me.  He literally was calling to me to take him home with me. He told me I was his caretaker and that I had to work together with him in order to develop and grow spiritually. I think the man behind the shop counter was taken aback when I bounced over to him and asked for him to bring the keys to the skull cabinet purely because I was so hyper at this point that I could easily have been mistaken for someone who had ingested far too much sugar!

The man opened the cabinet and handed me the small opalite skull which had caught my eye.  As I held him in my hand, his warm, loving energy flowed from the tips of my fingers right through my body.  He said "Thank you, my name is Herman".  From that day forward, I have worked with Herman and built my collection of skulls very gradually.  This blog will provide information about crystal skulls as well as the many adventures and meditations which Herman and I will be undertaking over the coming days, weeks, months and years.  I hope to get to know my lovely followers and answer any questions which you have :)
